Family Law Guidance And Support
Located in Green Bay, Adolph Legal provides representation for a broad range of family law matters throughout Northeast Wisconsin. We use a personalized and emotionally supportive approach to help you navigate through the issue at hand and move forward.
Favoring A Nonadversarial Approach, But Courtroom Ready
The end of a marriage can be a highly emotional process. Our firm aims to make divorce as stress-free as possible. When appropriate, we pursue a nonadversarial approach, such as mediation or negotiation. These alternative approaches can settle child support or custody matters and property division issues in a faster and more cost-effective way.
However, if parties cannot reach an agreement, our lawyers are ready to aggressively pursue a court battle. Our attorneys have experience with the unique complexities of a high-asset divorce and are equally suited to helping you resolve an amicable dissolution.
An Advocate For Children
When parents cannot agree on a custody arrangement, the court may appoint a guardian ad litem (GAL) to represent the best interests of the child. In this role, the guardian is both an investigator and reporter. Private guardians observe the parents with the child on multiple occasions, interview the child and make a complete, thorough investigation. Based on this unbiased information, the guardian then reports back to the judge and court. Judges use the GAL’s feedback to help make final decisions. Our lawyers have GAL training and can act as a guardian in visitation matters and private custody cases.
Helping Nontraditional Families
Although recent changes granted same-sex couples equal rights for most family law matters, LGBT couples still face discrimination. Post-judgment issues often arise due to the need for modification of child support orders, relocation, divorce appeals and the enforcement of divorce decrees. Our attorneys are committed to equality and have significant experience advocating for LGBT rights.
